Tony Chojnowski “Shooz”, 44 Housatonic St., Map 43 Parcel 158, new awning.
Mike Keenan of Sondrini Enterprises made the presentation. He said that the applicant wishes to recover the existing awning frame in black with pink accents.
Discussion ensued and it was agreed that the pink accents would be limited to the piping.
ES made a motion to grant a Certificate of Appropriateness for a black awning with pink binding. JF seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 4-0.
Minutes: November 16, 2010-JH made a motion to approve the minutes with one edit and ES seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 3-0-1. KF abstained as he was not present for that meeting.
Other business: JH stated that he has started working with a client on a project in town that will inevitably end up before the HDC and the ZBA and the question has been raised as to whether he should step down from the HDC or simply recuse himself. The Commission felt that JH should defer to Town Counsel. PA advised that JH had emailed this question today to the Town Planner, Mary Albertson and that Ms. Albertson has forwarded the email to Town Counsel as well as to the Town Manager.
JH made a motion to adjourn at 5:57 pm. KF seconded the motion and the Commission voted to adjourn 4-0.
